Former New Orleans Saints defensive back Delvin Breaux is going back to his Canadian Football League roots.
Multiple sources said Breaux has signed a one-year deal with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the CFL team he played for previously before signing with the Saints in 2015.
He played in all 16 games in his first season with the Saints and had 45 tackles and three interceptions before he broke his fibula early in his second season in 2016.
After playing in just six games that season, Breaux tried to return in 2017. He was misdiagnosed with a leg contusion during training camp and it was discovered that Breaux actually had a stress fracture on his fibula that required surgery.
