Former New Orleans Saints guard Ben Grubbs might be facing an early retirement due to a persistent neck injury, according to the NFL Network.
Grubbs spent three seasons of his nine-year career in New Orleans and earned a Pro Bowl berth with the Saints in 2013. Former Saints teammate Jahri Evans also got a Pro Bowl nod that year.
Grubbs was traded to the Chiefs following the 2014 season for a fifth round draft pick the Saints used to select defensive lineman Tyeler Davison.
Grubbs only played in seven games for the Chiefs before being placed on IR due to his neck injury.
