Former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn signs with Saints

According to reports, the New Orleans Saints have signed former LSU quarterback Matt Flynn. Head Coach Sean Payton confirmed the report on WWL Radio in New Orleans.

Flynn spent his first few years as Aaaron Rodgers’ backup with the Green Pay Packers after being selected in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He made his first start in December of 2010 against the New England Patriots.

He started the final game of the 2012 season for Green Bay against the Detroit Lions, tying the single game Packers record for both passing yards (480) and touchdowns (6).
