Cut day is the day on the NFL calendar when all 32 NFL teams must trim their roster down from the 90 players their allowed to have in camp to the 53-man roster that they’re allowed to carry throughout the season. On Saturday, Sep. 1, the Saints were no different and there were some surprising cuts made.
Surprising is a subjective term of course. Former second round draft pick Hau’oli Kikaha was released. But for many that wasn’t a surprise. While he’s had productive moments, most of Kikaha’s Saints career has been an unproductive and injury-plagued ball of frustration.
