The New Orleans Saints will be debuting a new look in their Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, pairing their white away jerseys with solid-white pants. It’s a new uniform combination for the team, one that they haven’t worn in decades (or at least since Sean Payton was hired as head coach back in 2006). They’ve always won either black or gold pants, but the gold trousers have been gradually phased out in recent years (they’ve been worn in just 7 of their last 41 games).
While many teams have shelved the “Color Rush” alternate uniforms they were given in a recent NFL initiative, the Saints lucked into a terrific look that combines details from their throwback jerseys with clean white-on-gold coloring.
