The Atlanta Falcons signed former New Orleans Saints nose tackle Tyeler Davison to a one-year contract, as first reported by Jordan Schultz of ESPN. Davison was an unrestricted free agent and three-year starter after having been selected by the Saints in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Davison’s first reported free agency interest came from the Falcons, who hosted him on a visit earlier in April. The San Francisco 49ers also flew him out for a private meeting, but Davison chose to join the Falcons instead. They offer him the shortest path to a starting job with second-year prospect Deadrin Senat figuring to be his only real competition.
