The New Orleans Saints ruled out both running back Alvin Kamara and tight end Jared Cook on their Friday injury report, meaning they’ll go up against the Chicago Bears on the road without two of the their three two pass-catchers. Through six games, Kamara was targeted 39 times (catching 33 balls), while Cook was thrown 27 passes (he caught 15 of them). They’ve combined for 48 receptions in the first leg of the season, but it’ll fall to the player at the top of the pyramid to keep the offense balanced at Soldier Field: wide receiver Michael Thomas.
Thomas is continuing to produce at a historic level, even without Drew Brees throwing him the ball.
