ESPN's five-step offseason plan for Saints gets it all wrong

It’s tough to cover every team in the NFL, offering a variety of unique opinions on 32 very different franchises. But the five-step offseason plan for the New Orleans Saints, courtesy of Bill Barnwell of ESPN, leaves us with some head-scratching takeaways. Here’s what he suggests.

Alright, this one checks out. The Saints should definitely part ways with safety Kurt Coleman, freeing up $4 million in salary cap space. But punting on wide receiver Cameron Meredith so soon is questionable. The Saints receivers aren’t good enough to pass on him, even if ideally someone (like Keith Kirkwood) pushes him off of the roster in training camp.
