The New Orleans Saints completed a procedural move by transitioning wide receiver Emmanuel Butler from the non-football injury (NFI) list to the 90-man offseason roster, as first reported by Larry Holder of the Athletic. Butler passed a physical exam on Monday and was promoted from the NFI list soon after.
Butler, a 6-foot-3, 217-pound wideout from Northern Arizona University, made a nice impression during minicamp practices earlier this summer. He wins with a large catch radius (measuring in with 33-inch arms and 10 1/8-inch hands at the NFL Scouting Combine) and solid overall athleticism.
