The New Orleans Saints were off on Sunday -- but that didn’t stop Drew Brees from making his most impressive throw of training camp.
Brees sailed a football from the Saints’ upper practice fields down to a basketball hoop stationed on the lower practice field -- an estimated 30 yards down the hill. Brees and fellow quarterbacks Luke McCown and Garrett Grayson estimated the total throw was around 50-60 yards with the benefit of the “elevated tee box.”
It took the former Super Bowl MVP several tries and the creation of a “bonus round,” but Brees eventually swished one through -- nothing but net -- to win the QBs’ daily passing competition.
