New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees had a very public change of heart towards peaceful protests against racial inequality and police brutality during the national anthem, but teammates like punter Thomas Morstead expected his actions to speak louder than his words. And Brees hasn’t taken long to follow through on that by embracing causes important to the Black community.
Brees announced Thursday that he and his wife Brittany are the presenting sponsors for the Black College Football Hall of Fame’s “Road to Equality” virtual event, a celebration of the greatest Black football players from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
