METAIRIE, La. -- Drew Brees and Brandin Cooks were on the same page Wednesday, as both of them rejected the idea that the New Orleans Saints offense has suffered over the past two weeks because Brees might be "forcing" the ball to his third-year receiver.
"See that's one of those annoying ridiculous things (that people say)," Brees said -- a reference to an earlier comment about not caring what people think.
The Saints' offense, however, has been woefully out of sync over the past two games -- a 28-13 loss to the Detroit Lions and a 16-11 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- with Brees throwing zero TD passes and three interceptions in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
