METAIRIE, La. – Drew Brees said it felt “awesome” to drive home after last Thursday night’s 31-21 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, knowing that the New Orleans Saints had an extra three days to recover after a big win on a short week.
But Brees shot down the idea that he was reveling on that drive in how well the Saints’ offense played.
“Man, we can still do a lot better, though,” Brees said emphatically. “You feel good about the win, you feel good about beating a divisional opponent in the Atlanta Falcons – the undefeated Atlanta Falcons.
