Drew Brees' frustration highlights observations from Day 14 of Saints training camp

The New Orleans Saints were going through hurry-up drills near the goal line during 11-on-11 drills, and then it happened.

With quarterback Drew Brees in shotgun formation, center Josh LeRibeus sailed a snap over Brees head, causing Brees to leap in an attempt to retrieve the football.

With the play blown dead, Brees reached up to undo his helmet, removed it from his head and spiked it to the ground before looking to the line of scrimmage to voice his frustrations.

Coach Sean Payton said during his post-practice press conference that Brees’ frustration came about because of protection issues, not the high snap.
