The best thing about Drew Brees' quest to become the NFL passing king is the spotlight. Finally, after all these years, Brees' incomparable career will receive the platform it deserves.
After operating for most of his career in the shadows of his passing peers, the stage will be his alone on Monday night. And America will get a chance to recognize what we in New Orleans have known for years: Brees' brilliance.
This is one instance where the hype is welcome and warranted.
It's impossible to say Brees is the greatest quarterback of all-time, although I think you can certainly make a strong argument for him.
