For the third time in his 18 year NFL career, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has broken the league’s record for highest completion percentage in NFL history. And, this time, not by a small margin. The new mark is 74.4-percent, eclipsing his record of 72.0-percent set last year.
Brees previously broke the record in 2011 by hitting 71.2-percent. And that number broke a record which had been in place since former Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson hit 70.6-percent in 1982. Brees had tied Anderson’s 1982 mark during the Saints 2009 Super Bowl run.
