Drew Brees and Tom Brady share surprisingly-similar 5-year stats

Sit down, because you’re about to be jumping up in surprise. Raiders Wire managing editor Marcus Mosher has embarked on a project comparing different quarterbacks of similar age and experience from around the NFL, and today he drew up the 5-year stat lines for two future Hall of Famers: Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

My gut reaction to seeing how close those stats align falls somewhere between impressed and spooked. Sure, the volume is a little different (Brees has thrown and completed about 300 more passes than Brady) but by and large we see similarities. Similar passing touchdown and interception totals, similar adjusted yards per attempt, and similar passer rating.
