METAIRIE, La. -- It hasn't been easy to keep up with all of the New Orleans Saints' changes at defensive coordinator over the years (they've used five in the last eight seasons).
But there's nothing too complicated about current DC Dennis Allen's philosophy:
"Don't let 'em score," Allen said.
Of course there is a little more to it than that. When Allen was asked about his philosophy during rookie minicamp, he also emphasized the need to create more turnovers, create more pressure on the quarterback and to tighten up in the red zone.
But it's all simple stuff that the Saints just need to get much better at executing after two dreadful seasons on that side of the ball.
