New Orleans Saints backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is preparing for his first start in black and gold, and no one may have a better appreciation for what he can do than Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Allen was asked about what he’s seen from practicing against Bridgewater every week and offered a lengthy response:
“I think Teddy’s really smart. A lot of what we do with our pressure package and stuff, we’ll have Teddy really kind of set the protection, so we see what it will look like in a real, live situation, rather than sometimes you get on a card and you kind of want to block it a certain way to make sure that a pressure comes free or whatever.
