New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is back with his teammates, but he isn’t leading the pregame huddle just yet as he continues to manage his surgically-repaired throwing hand. Brees again deferred to linebacker Demario Davis, who stood up to lead the Saints in his second pregame huddle before kickoff against the Dallas Cowboys.
Davis immediately became one of the team leaders when the Saints signed him as a free agent, and he’s enjoyed great success after spending most of his career with the New York Jets and Cleveland Browns. He’s been elected team captain by his teammates in each of his first two years on the squad.
