In the offseason of 2018, the Saints hit the free agent market with a splash signing veteran strong safety Kurt Coleman right out of the gates. The move seemed a little chancy but Coleman had some very strong years under his belt and the Saints had moved on from former first round pick Kenny Vaccaro. But the deal turned out to be a major bust and the Saints, licking their wounds from it, are moving on again.
On Thursday, Feb. 21, the Saints announced they were cutting Kurt Coleman in a move that will do a little bit to free up some money under the salary cap for the 2019 Season.
