Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith would probably have a lot to discuss with New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Like Bridgewater, Smith’s football career was once threatened with a devastating knee injury — back in 2016, while playing his last game for Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, he was blocked out of a play against the Ohio State Buckeyes and went down in pain. He’d suffered complicated damage to his knee, including nerve damage, and missed his entire rookie year while recovering from it.
But like Bridgewater, Smith overcame that adversity to return to football, and he’s found success.
