Colin Kaepernick, the former NFL quarterback who started the protest movement during the national anthem, hosted one of his "Know Your Rights'' youth camps in New Orleans on Saturday (Jan. 27). More than 400 youths attended, he tweeted on Sunday (Jan. 28).
The camp "is a free campaign for youth fully funded by Colin Kaepernick to raise awareness on higher education, self empowerment, and instruction to properly interact with law enforcement in various scenarios,'' according to the Know Your Rights website.
New Orleans has "a lot of energy, a lot of life, a lot of culture,'' he says in the video below.
