There's no doubting the New Orleans Saints' need for a No. 1 tight end for the present and the future. Snagging Coby Fleener in free agency from the Colts gives the Saints both.
There's also no question his primary focus will be within the passing game. Especially since the Saints re-signed Michael Hoomanawanui as the No. 2 guy with more of his focus in the blocking phase.
Fleener certainly built a long rapport with his former quarterback. Fleener and Andrew Luck played together for several seasons in college at Stanford and were drafted in consecutive rounds in 2012.
