The Sox had Chris Sale on the mound, so they hoped they would leave Cleveland taking the series from the Indians. In the end, Sale would only last innings and the Indians would bash away on Sox pitching. The Sox battled back and scored 6 runs, but it was too little, too late. The Sox and the Indians split the series and the Sox will not return to Fenway to take on the Orioles.
The Indians really got all over Sale in the 2nd inning. Sale shockingly allowed 4 runs to score in the inning. Perez hit an RBI single, Urshela hit an RBI grounder and then Lindor and Jackson both hit RBI singles.
