Charley Casserly is something of a legendary figure in the world of NFL GMs. At the helm of the Redskins from 1989-1999, he guided that team to one of their most successful runs and a Lombardi Trophy.
Saints fans may remember him best as being the man who orchestrated the fleecing of the team in the Ricky Williams deal. The Saints got Williams and the Redskins got all of the Saints picks in that draft plus 2 in the next season. And the Skins still ended up with Champ Bailey.
Charley Casserly will forever be enshrined as being part of one of the lowest points in Saints franchise history.
