During an NFL offseason that saw the New Orleans Saints add Adrian Peterson and third-round draft pick Alvin Kamara to the running back stable, some might have expected team leading rusher Mark Ingram to fold in the face of pressure.
Instead, the former Heisman winning running back is striving to be not only the best back for the Saints, but the most complete back in the NFL. ESPN’s Mike Triplett reports that Ingram has been doing more than just taking handoffs out of the backfield.
Ingram has consistently been churning up yards through screen passes, wheel routes and dump-offs over the middle during training camp practices.
