linebacker Michael Mauti had the most physically grueling offseason of anybody on the team.
After having three surgeries between November and April to relieve him of his battle with ulcerative colitis, Mauti spent three months training and gaining weight with hopes of making a comeback to the NFL.
The 27-year-old Mandeville native is back with the Saints after spending the 2015 and 2016 seasons with the team, including being a special teams captain last year.
Mauti provided an update on how his return is going, and what's different for him now after the trying offseason experience.
