Cameron Jordan tied late, great Will Smith's mark for career sacks

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan met an important milestone on Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons, notching a pair of sacks and tying former teammate Will Smith’s career total (67.5). That number ranks fourth in franchise history behind Pat Swilling (76.5), Wayne Martin (82.5), and Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson (115).

It’s a big moment in Jordan’s career. He met the number Smith posted in 16 fewer games, and has surpassed his predecessor in several categories like pass deflections (42 to Smith’s 26), tackles for loss (93 to 85), and quarterback hits (135 to 113), but still trails Smith in fumbles forced (9 to 20).
