Tomorrow night in the Superdome, Saints fans FINALLY will get to see the biggest enigma in recent Saints history show up to play a football game: free safety Jairus Byrd.
Byrd is listed as probable, and while it’s unlikely that he’ll start at free safety (Kenny Phillips will likely get the start again), he should see limited action as the coaching staff eases him back into the line-up.
Byrd being probable is big. I’d bet he’s on a pitch count, used situationally.

Byrd of course returns to action following an entire off season that was shrouded in mystery, made worse by the fact that it appeared at times that Byrd was trying to purposely avoid having his picture taken; after it was announced that he was being placed on the PUP list at the start of Training Camp.
