In the 2017 offseason, the Saints spent more effort addressing issues with their linebacker corps than perhaps any other position. They brought in A.J. Klein from the Panthers, Manti Te’o from the Chargers and drafted Alex Anzalone out of Florida in the 2017 NFL Draft.
The unit looked dominant in preseason and inspired many, including yours truly, to proclaim a way too early return of the Dome Patrol. Many apologies.
