The Chargers and Saints meet tonight for both teams’ third game of the 2018 NFL preseason. This is the big daddy of preseason games. The only one of the four games where you’ll get to see a lot out of the starters.
For some of the Saints starters, Drew Brees and Cameron Jordan for example, this will be their fist and, likely, last appearances before the season opener on Sept. 9. That means there’s a lot of pent up energy waiting to be cut loose.
There will be plenty to pay attention to tonight. For the Saints, there’s the still ongoing battle for the backup quarterback role.
