The New Orleans Saints handled their business against the Arizona Cardinals, going into the bye week with a 31-9 win that could have had a much larger margin of victory. Saints quarterback Drew Brees returned to the starting lineup and played so well that he spent the last few minutes wearing a ball cap, with backup Teddy Bridgewater taking the field to finish running out the clock.
It was very much a learning experience for rookie Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, who struggled to string together big plays through the air once the Saints took away his favorite target in Larry Fitzgerald.
