The New Orleans Saints signed veteran left tackle Chris Clark just days before flying out to the West Coast for a preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Unfortunately, Clark was injured and carted off for medical attention minutes before halftime; he was bowled over when quarterback Taysom Hill was sacked and thrown into Clark’s lower leg by Chargers defensive lineman Jerry Tillery. Team athletic trainers were seen fastening an air cast around his lower right leg. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.
It’s a tough break for Clark, who spoke about being happy to join his hometown team after only playing against them throughout his career.
