#ATLvsNO halftime report: Saints up 16-14, but Falcons will get ball after half

The New Orleans Saints saw a hot start sputter and stall down the stretch against the Atlanta Falcons in the first half. While their scripted first drive went well with multiple chunk plays from mainstays like Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, the Saints began to find that they’re having the same problems that have plagued them to start the 2018 regular season.

Outside a huge catch down the seam from tight end Ben Watson and a touchdown from Ted Ginn Jr., New Orleans couldn’t get anyone else going. Saints head coach Sean Payton discussed the importance of involving Cameron Meredith and Tre’Quan Smith this week but didn’t come through once the game started.
