The New Orleans Saints are signing former San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Brown, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan.
Brown, 27, gives the Saints a veteran presence they were lacking after releasing Marques Colston earlier this offseason. The Saints’ second oldest receiver, Reggie Bell, just turned 24 this month.
However, it’s hard to expect too much from Brown, whose promising career was derailed by injuries in both 2012 and 2014. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder had just 13 catches for 140 yards and zero touchdowns over the past two years while bouncing around from the Oakland Raiders to the Indianapolis Colts to San Diego.
