Hau’oli Kikaha admits the ankle injury he suffered earlier this season slowed him down a bit.
He was off to a fast start, quickly becoming one of the core members of the New Orleans defense, and then it was like he suddenly fell off a treadmill.
The rookie linebacker hasn’t been posting numbers like he was earlier in the season and has since fallen out of the team’s nickel defense the last two weeks in games against the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.
What’s the reason for that?
“I really don’t know. All I know is (it went) from this consistent style of play or playing routine to a different one,” Kikaha said.
