A rare mental error for New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has hurt his wallet. Per a report from Amie Just of The Advocate, Kamara was fined $10,527 by the NFL following an unnecessary roughness penalty from last week’s road game with the Seattle Seahawks. Kamara drew a penalty flag for a chop block on Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks, negating a long run by scrambling quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and costing the Saints 15 yards of field position.
It was uncharacteristic of Kamara, who’s quietly become one of the NFL’s better running backs at holding back in pass protection, picking up blitzing defenders and keeping his quarterback upright.
