The 2017 season was a whirlwind for Alvin Kamara. Drafted out of Tennessee by the New Orleans Saints in the third round, national expectations weren’t earth-shattering. Many saw Kamara as simple change-of-pace back to spell starter Mark Ingram. Kamara and the Saints had different ideas.
Kamara became a second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler as a rookie while racking up 728 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns to pair with 826 receiving yards and five scores. He also threw in a kickoff return for a score.
Explosive and efficient, Kamara averaged 6 yards per carry and 10.2 yards per catch.
