The New Orleans Saints are back in action and on the road this Sunday after their bye week, to face the Atlanta Falcons in Mersades Benz Stadium.
This will be 107th time that these two franchises will face one another with New Orleans having a 54-53 record against the Falcons. Their most memorable matchup was on September 25th, 2006, dubbed “Domecoming,” which was the Saints first home game played in the Superdome after Hurricane Katrina. In that game, we saw Saints safety Steve Gleason famously block a punt by Falcons’ kicker Michael Koenen and DB Curtis Deloatch recover the ball in the Falcons’ end zone for a touchdown.
