The New Orleans Saints opened training camp to the media for the second time this week, and there was a lot to be seen. While this practice session did not feature players wearing shoulderpads and making a ton of contact, it still revealed a lot about how quickly younger players are adjusting and how well some others are recovering from injuries.
It also featured a new face and reinforced some observations from Monday’s practice session. Here’s what we’ve learned from reporters on the ground:
The following players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice session:
- LG Andrus Peat (broken thumb, per reports)
- TE Josh Hill (managing “a tweak,” per Sean Payton)
- CB Tino Ellis
- LB Anthony Chickillo
Of that group, only Chickillo was spotted at the team facility, and those on the scene noted that his activity was limited to work on an exercise bike.
