It’s an annual event trying to pick who the breakout players will be in training camp each year. There’s always at least one. Sometimes it translates onto the field. Sometimes Sean Payton isn’t feeling it and they get cut. Last year that was running back Boston Scott. Though Scott did make the initial 53-man roster.
There was another player last year that made a strong impression in training camp and in the preseason. That was Temple wide receiver, Keith Kirkwood. For Kirkwood, it wasn’t a groundbreaking season. He had 13 catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns.
