The New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame luncheon where Will Smith and Hokie Gajan will be inducted posthumously will be Oct. 28, the team announced Tuesday.
The pair were voted into the Hall of Fame in March, before each died within a span of roughly 48 hours in April — Smith in a shooting April 9 and Gajan on April 11 after a months-long battle with cancer.
Smith played 10 seasons with the Saints, and was a key part of the 2009 team that won a Super Bowl. Gajan, a Louisiana native, played four seasons for the Saints and later became a longtime scout and broadcaster for the team.
