The New Orleans Saints are reportedly open to weigh offers in a trade for all-world running back Alvin Kamara, but that doesn’t mean they’re looking to move him. It feels much more like trading barbs through the media late in the negotiations on a blockbuster contract.
But what would it take to move Kamara? And which teams might be interested? The Saints have traded away great players before like Jimmy Graham and Brandin Cooks, and it’s possible they could do so again. It just doesn’t feel probable.
So it would take a monstrous return to make it worth their while — something like the haul the New York Jets got for safety Jamal Adams, exchanging him for a pair of first-round draft picks, a third rounder, and his replacement.
