NFL analysts Chris Wesseling and Matt Harmon utilize different approaches when it comes to player evaluation, and recently the two co-authored a column where they assembled an All-Pro team based off performances from the 2017 season. The list was built on Wesseling’s “eye-test” versus Harmon’s “Next Gen Stats” evaluation method. While their opinions differed at most positions, three members of the New Orleans Saints were singled out for their regular season dominance.
At the flex position Harmon favored Saints’ RB Alvin Kamara while Wesseling selected Steelers’ RB Le’Veon Bell to be his starter. Kamara had 1,554 yards from scrimmage last year (728 rushing, 826 receiving), and lead the NFL with a 6.
