We see a consensus forming that the Saints will take a receiver in the 2019 NFL Draft when they finally get to make a pick at number 62 overall in the draft’s second round. That does make sense.
If the Saints don’t feel they have what they need currently on the roster, this draft is top-heavy in receiver talent. And they only have one pick in the draft’s first four rounds where they’ll have a chance to take advantage of that premier talent.
After that number 62 pick, the next pick isn’t until late in round five at 168.
