Veteran quarterback Drew Brees was allowed the time to complete an NFL record 72% of his passes, getting sacked just 20 times in 556 dropbacks, his fewest since the 2009 season. Mark Ingram and offensive rookie of the year Alvin Kamara received the headlines for a devastating rushing attack that ranked 5th in the league, but it was a dominating performance by the offensive line that paved the way for an offense that finished 2nd in the league in total yardage.
