Training camps around the NFL are getting closer to wrapping up. With roster cuts upcoming, we're getting a glimpse at how rosters will look come Week 1 of the season. So, how are the New Orleans Saints shaping up? Here are three things we learned from New Orleans Saints training camp last week.
Delvin Breaux Will Make Roster
Not many people know who Delvin Breaux is. He's not exactly a household name. The corner back broke his neck in high school, but LSU honored his scholarship offer. He was never cleared to play for the Tigers and left to go play in the CFL. Breaux was a CFL All-Star before signing with the Saints in the offseason. Now, it looks like he'll make the roster. He's received plenty of praise so far and could play a big role this season.
Brandin Cooks Is GOOD
The Saints lost Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills, but they'll be just fine passing the ball. Brandin Cooks is a big reason why. He's looked incredible throughout training camp. He's primed for a massive season. He caught 53 passes for 550 yards last season. Cooks could very well double those numbers this season.
Where Is Jairus Byrd?
The Saints NEED to have Byrd back and healthy. Instead, he's been on the PUP list and his absence is a growing concern. Backup Rafael Bush is better suited for special teams. Byrd needs to come back soon for the Saints to make a real push at the NFC South title.
