SACRAMENTO – Tyreke Evans always has some support in the stands when he plays road games in California’s capital city, partly because he was an NBA Rookie of the Year winner with the Sacramento Kings during the 2009-10 season. He has also often played well against his former team over the last three-plus years, but he may not get the chance to do so Sunday.
Roughly 90 minutes prior to tip-off at the Golden 1 Center, Pelicans second-year head coach Alvin Gentry said Evans’ status would be based on how his pregame workouts went. Evans was listed as probable on the injury report, due to a left ankle sprain.
