Terrence Jones will try to play in Atlanta despite illness

ATLANTA – New Orleans forward Terrence Jones didn’t necessarily look in tip-top condition Tuesday as he headed from the visiting locker room at Philips Arena to the court in order to warm up, but the first-year Pelican will try to play through illness vs. Atlanta (9-4), according to head coach Alvin Gentry. While New Orleans (4-10) is in better shape roster-wise now that Jrue Holiday has returned to the club, the Pelicans still aren’t ultra-deep in numbers, with two players injured (Tyreke Evans and Quincy Pondexter) and another playing well in the D-League (Cheick Diallo). Another player, guard Anthony Brown, was just signed Monday, which leaves a remaining 11 players if you include Jones.
